1) What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
There are a million personal trainers out there right now, and being able to call yourself a “personal trainer” is becoming easier and easier (You can even get a certification online over the weekend!) My advice would be, really use your instincts to ensure that you are not hiring somebody who is “phoning it in”. Trainers who talk/text on their phone during sessions, trainers who are talking to other members or trainers during your session, trainers who do not give you a thorough evaluation before implementing a program, trainers who do not take into account your needs and goals, and trainers who use the same programs on all their clients are all “phoning it in.” Your time, money and your right to a richer fuller life is worth more than that!
2)What is the difference between a Health and Fitness Practitioner and a personal trainer?
Many personal trainers’ main focus for their sessions is to provide the client with a workout and make the client sweat (a valuable component). But Many trainers do not ensure proper form to prevent injury, nor do they develop a program specific to each client (for some, one program is used simultaneously on all their clients). As a Health and Fitness Practitioner, We take a holistic approach to your health and wellness. Working together we will develop a Custom Built Exercise Program for you based upon your needs, abilities, and goals. We will make dietary and fitness recommendations to assist you in meeting your overall goal. We will support you and coach you through a fitness routine with compassion, energy, and encouragement
3) Who are your ideal clients?
We coach people who are “fed up” and are ready for results. Many have the goal to finally lose the weight that they have been carrying for years, and many want to reduce body aches and pains and improve their balance and sense of well-being. These are individuals that are dedicated and ready to commit to their health and fitness, who realize that there is a better way and that the status quo is no longer good enough, and have the courage to trust us to coach them through accomplishing their goals. Our program is guaranteed to give my client’s results. We work with my clients in clarifying their goals and establishing a commitment to improve their lives.
4)What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
I encourage all my clients to really think about their goals and gauge their commitment! I ask each client- What do you want? Are you ready to commit to that goal? From there, we put together a complete program, put the plan into action which integrates all the components required for your success, and establish the support system necessary to make the lifestyle changes to not only achieve your goals but also maintain them for life.

As a Health and Fitness Practitioner, we value you as a whole being. Using the Custom Built Exercise Program developed for you and our recommendations, we will coach you through the fitness process while educating you on how your body functions optimally to maximize desired results and prevent injury.
6)What do I get with my initial assessment?
The goal is to help you improve your health, fitness level and reach your goals. The initial assessment is essential because it allows us to see your current status. This is where we:

7)If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
There is sooo much information regarding health and fitness out there, that it becomes confusing and overwhelming for most people.
There are basic rules that indicate how the body functions. Each individual has unique circumstances that affect how THEIR body functions- this includes imbalances and compensations from injury (For example: weak pelvic girdle from sitting too long at a desk, severe forward head posture from staring at the TV or computer, and aches/pains from workouts of doing too much, too soon). I have spent the last 18 years utilizing techniques that follows these rules and are flexible to incorporate the goals and needs of my clients.

9) Where do sessions take place?
All sessions and group classes take place at Buddha Fitness, located 703 Camino De La Familia, Suite 3105, Santa Fe, New Mexico 87501. We are also available for in home training and will meet you at a location of your choice.
