This muscle is important because it works with two other tissues ( TFL, GLute Med Fascia) to form the deltoid of your hip. A good way to think of it is that it is just one big muscle and if one of those areas is off then the whole thing is off.
That is problematic because That deltoid of the hip is responsible for managing the correct tension on that side of you hip and all the muscles of the thigh.
Parameters:
- Do 3 X 30 seconds each side
- Do with the TFL and Glute Med to work the entire hip deltoid.
- Factors of Progression: grabbing the opposite knee, neck down eyes down sacrum (butt) down with a little lower back arch, Opposite leg knee down toes in and turned in, opposite arm externally rotated and pushed away.
