Work Out With Water And Fascia In Mind

Work out to help increase the flow of water in your body. Which means work out with the facia in mind. This doesn’t mean using really aggressive damaging techniques like foam rolling or therapeutic techniques like Graston. Use myofascial stretching, ELDOA pumping therapy, and fascial normalization.

Not Your Problem

SolCore Therapy and fitness

Have you ever noticed that anytime you do something, there’s somebody who has something negative to say?

You get a new haircut – and someone tells you it’s too short.

You buy a new car – and someone says you paid too much.

You start exercising and dieting – and someone puts some sort of negative spin on it and tells you how it doesn’t work.😦

It might just be human nature. Heck, it might just be NATURE, period, — because for every action there’s an equal and opposite reaction, if I’m remembering high school right. it may of been quite afew years ago.😂

So, if that’s the case, then how much should you care about your own personal changes making someone else feel uncomfortable?

Should you care …

A lot?

A little?

Or not one bit?

I bet you can guess my answer! Once you accept that there will always be someone who doesn’t like what you do, then it’s SO LIBERATING because you can let go of any element of judgment or condemnation or, well, your OWN discomfort!

If you’re making changes that truly affect others, then maybe they have a say-so in the matter.

But when it comes to the bottom line on your health and fitness?

There is one opinion that matters: YOURS.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this.

Your Best Investment Is … YOU!

Most of us were taught as kids to be generous and thoughtful of others.

But some of us were “over-taught” those lessons — to NEVER give to ourselves beyond providing for our own basics. Positive traits — of wanting to help others or to bring a smile to their faces — got corrupted to the point of neglecting our own needs and desires.

Of always trying to be a “people pleaser.”

Of avoiding the very responsible, adult NEED to practice self-care.

Caring for yourself means investing in yourself. In time, yes – but also in money. That doesn’t make you selfish or spoiled, despite what that nagging voice in the back of your mind might tell you.

The simple truth about investments is this: Your best investment is YOU. Not real estate, retirement plans, or gifts to your family.

Every dollar you spend to build a healthier life is an investment in yourself (and everyone else in your life).

Every time you take a positive action, you’re building on the future in ways that no one else can ever do for you.

Every time you reject a negative action for a positive choice, you’re building your “life account” balance to draw on later.

Your spending reflects your values and priorities.

What could possibly be more valuable than your health?

Trick question….nada.

Wow!

Solcore Fitness therapy and training

The holidays were JUST HERE – and now it’s already March. How is that possible?

Time goes by so fast sometimes that it’s hard to keep track of it.

But with just a few simple hacks, you can soak up all the best of your life and maximize time for your own purposes. Don’t allow it to just pass you by!

𝑲𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒂 𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒓. Some people think it’s fine to make notes on their phone, but there’s greater effectiveness in keeping a paper calendar and writing on it. That way, you can look at weeks and months in advance more easily than on your phone – and always get a visual reminder that “a couple of months away” really isn’t very far!

𝑺𝒆𝒕 𝒔𝒎𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒈𝒐𝒂𝒍𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒑𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒖𝒊𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒃𝒊𝒈𝒈𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒊𝒎𝒔 . If you’re trying to exercise more, then maybe it would be fun to enter your first 5K race. If you’re trying to lose weight, then celebrate at appropriate milestones. If you’re trying to save money, then pat yourself on the back when your balance hits certain figures.

𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒏 𝒇𝒖𝒏 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒇𝒇 . It’s important to schedule vacations, parties and other positive events that you can anticipate joyfully. Use time to savor that deliciousness.

𝑾𝒆𝒍𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒂𝒈𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆. No matter what age you are, it might sometimes feel like life is flying past. You might wish you could be the way you were at a previous age. You might even resent certain aspects of aging. But you know what? You’ll be so much happier when you EMBRACE the natural order of life. Whatever age you are is infinitely better than anything in the past. BECAUSE IT’S HERE. Right now.

𝑪𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒉 𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒚𝒔. Participate in them. Respect their power.

Do what successful people do. They exercise and eat right. They read. They volunteer. They enjoy hobbies. They cherish time with loved ones.

THEY DO NOT JUDGE THEMSELVES AGAINST OTHERS.

And neither should you! Accept setbacks – like illness, disappointments or bad news – and be forgiving of yourself. You can try your best every day and still come up short sometimes – and that’s OK. It’s just part of the bigger picture.

So, as we welcome spring, can you anticipate something this summer or next year? Can you sit still with yourself and be grateful? Can you believe that you are a bright, shining light in the world and that you’re doing a great job being you?

I hope so. Because you ARE!

How Much Is Your Health Worth to You?

Our culture likes to promote the idea that “health is the greatest wealth” with all kinds of folksy sayings like, “If you have your health, then you have everything.”

But do we really mean it?

Do YOU value your own health? Really?

Most people don’t, as we know from countless surveys proving that we, as a society, eat way too much and don’t exercise near enough to back up our supposed value of “health.”

Why? One of the most common excuses is “I can’t afford it.”

But let’s get real. Many of the same people drop $5 a day at Starbucks and spend $100 a month on TV subscriptions. That’s before Friday Happy Hour rolls around!

Meanwhile, the if we truly valued health as we all say, that would be one of our top investments – in time, money, energy, and commitment.

This is not to say that we shouldn’t “spend” our money, time and focus on enjoyable activities. I definitely will splurge on a nice cappuccino and enjoy my time with my stories after a hard day.

For anyone who wants to join a studio, gym or other fitness center, or online coaching program that’s one of the BEST ways to ensure your short- and long-term health.

And if you think of it as investing in yourself, then you can see how fitness pays huge dividends in all kinds of ways, including financial. Exercise reduces our health-care costs, including medications, and the time lost to illness and injury.

Saying “I can’t afford it” about health is just stating that it’s not important to you.

But trust me, someday it will be.

So, start now. Think of it as an investment. The best investment you can make.
