Kaizen is a Japanese principle that means gradual, ongoing improvement in every area. In fitness, this means pushing a little beyond comfort—physically, mentally, and emotionally. The only way to real long-term progress (without the roller coaster of burnout) is building, bit by bit, day by day.
Start each morning or workout by embracing slight discomfort and repeating some version of:
“Just get a little better today.”
