To really be efficient in your body you have to have good feedback between your brain and your body and vise versa.
Being aware is just not enough. You need to have a deep sense of knowing and communication so that it comes out as confidence and the feeling of not having to hesitate.
To have real strength and balance takes more than just your muscles. It takes the fascial soft tissue around it and little computers in your body called proprioceptors to be turned on. The degree of how connected you are depends on how many computers you have on in your body.
If for instance you have half your computers connected how can you be sure what you are feeling is the whole truth. How can you efficiently move, have balance or strength. Luckily there are exercises for that.
Just like your muscles these proprioceptors have to be exercised individually. If for instance I do a general proprioception for my knee but I need to “turn on” my ACL then my body and brain will use all the other computers instead of the ACL because it is not functioning. This will further increase the gradient between the working computers and non working computers.
