Small Changes Lead to Big Results

Maybe it’s human nature to want the “quick fix” to the problem.

For example, I meet people all the time who want me to “fix them.” This is usually something that they have ignored or taken the wrong actions toward fixing and now it 10-30 years later.

Expecting a quick fix is what got them in trouble in the first place.

If you want total, lasting transformation, then the solution is adopting smaller, sustainable, holistic treatments, stretches, and exercises to re-educate your body instead of only looking to improve one aspect.

✅ Assess what is going on with your whole being
✅ Choose 5-15 min of a program that is going to move you forward
✅ Allow the routine to tell you where you need more “love.’ then add 1 more
✅ RInce and repeat

People already know this and get frustrated or bored sometimes when I repeat it. But that just means the challenge is in their attitude and actions.

You must love using small challenges and feeling yourself grow and improve.

We’re discussing developing a sustainable holistic program that empowers you, not correcting one thing and thinking, “You’re good.”.

We’re talking about making the next, right choice as often as possible – and not beating ourselves up when we don’t hit the mark.

We’re talking about health for life, not weight loss for a short-term goal.

Chasing instant gratification won’t get you where you want to go. It’s frustrating and makes you feel bad about yourself.

Choose to feel good about yourself today and well into the future.

Gaze at the horizon, not the next intersection, and see what you need to keep moving toward it.

Find Joy In Continuing To Get To Know Your Body. 

Find joy in continuing to get to know your body. Don’t fall victim to what you perceive as unfavorable. Your body is just talking to you. Attaching an identity around it or perceiving it as your body “doing something toward you” will keep you stuck. As you age, except for things to change. And as long as you learn, it will be for the better.

Your Opportunity During Fall

I love Fall, Always have.

The energy, the motivation, the sense that life is unfolding right before your eyes… I feel it every year, and I hope you do, too.

In fact, I hope you can build on that positivity to dream bigger for yourself and for your life.

Consider the concepts we associate with the season:

Freedom
Change
Opportunity
Focus
Family and friends

Those concepts all have something in common:

They make us feel good.

They make us feel positive.

They make us feel hopeful.

So, focus on those positive emotions when you think about dreaming bigger for yourself and your life.

What else makes you feel good, positive and hopeful? What do you do when you’re experiencing those emotions? How can you do more of that, and less of what makes you feel bad, negative, and hopeless?

See, it’s not about the weather or being on vacation.

It’s about choosing the mindset of positivity. It’s about basking in the glow of gratitude. It’s about choosing to make the positive decisions each day, whether they seem big or small.

Don’t get me wrong. I love the opportunity that fall brings. I love the time during holidays to be with family. I love the crisp, clean air that fall brings.

But it’s about the mindset that fall can bring to you that you can use year-round.

Excuses? Look for Opportunities Instead

SolCore Therapy and Fitness

I hear people tell me that they really want to get on a program to correct their issues because they want to stay active, but then right after they start, they decide that “their body is different,” and they can’t do it.

Or people who are“so, so busy” at work.

Or others who are “just too tired all the time.”

These excuses are common – and frustrating to hear. I’ve had to accept the fact that there’s only so much I can do to encourage someone to stop using them. But, when they’re ready to make a change, here’s a tactic that works well.

I encourage them to think of these excuses as opportunities for improvement in their lives rather than as insurmountable obstacles.

For example:

👉🏽 Instead of having the uninformed reaction that they somehow are incapable, try and accept that this is just where you are now and that this is a change they need to make and new skills they need to learn.

👉🏽 Instead of feeling overwhelmed by your professional obligations, learn better time management techniques.

👉🏽 And if you lack energy, then you need to experience the energy boost you’ll gain from exercise and proper eating.

If you take advantage of these “opportunities,” then you’ll gain health, time, vigor – and skills you can apply in other parts of your life, too.

If you really want to do something, you’ll do what’s necessary to get there.

If you don’t, you’ll keep making excuses.

The choice is yours.
