Progress, Not Perfection: The 80/20 Reality
Letโs stop chasing 100%.
No one hits every goal all the timeโand trying to creates burnout. Instead, aim for 80/20.
If youโre making good choices 80% of the timeโwhether thatโs working out, eating well, or taking care of your mindโthatโs a massive win. Thatโs consistency. Thatโs transformation.
And when you โfall short,โ itโs not failure. Itโs data.
You can:
- Reflect: What threw you off?
- Adjust: Can you create a backup plan?
- Reconnect: Link new habits to familiar ones, like brushing your teeth.
Every stumble is a chance to refine.
True Habit Change Builds Over Time
Weโre so conditioned to chase quick results. But true changeโchange that lastsโcomes slowly, through repetition, grace, and commitment.
If youโre in this for the long haul (and I hope you are), treat your goals like a relationship with your bodyโnot a checklist.
That relationship deserves:
- Patience when things donโt go as planned
- Support from others when motivation dips
